It involves decorating the store keeping the interior presentation the same as what is promised on the outside, the end purpose of visual merchandise is to aid in making a sale. Visual merchandise presents an image of whom or what the shopper can be when using the merchandise displayed. It enables in converting a walk by shopper into a walk-in customer. Visual merchandise requires a combination of skills including creativity, artistic knowledge and understanding of store design. Color is a big attraction point in converting potential shoppers into customers.

Fashion Pattern Making

The fashion Patternmaking is an intensive skill building course The course enables students to become industry proficient in patternmaking, design, fit and production. The course is self-paced, but all students work though the same curriculum. A small class size of 12 allows for individual attention. Students produce garments throughout their studies and create a cohesive 8-piece line of clothing as their final project. Some sewing experience is required. Students attend a 3-hour class at least once a week with three to six hours of homework assigned each week.Students learn proper sewing techniques such as sewing buttonholes, how to insert zippers, how to use bias tape, twill tape and piping, top stitching, edge stitching, and under stitching, as well as how to sew French seams, flat-felled seams, slot seams and more. Students will walk away from the class with a sample binder of instructions and sewn examples. This class will aid both the beginner and advanced sewer. Students attend a three to six hour class once a week for eight weeks. Expect three hours of homework between classes.

Fashion Photography

Fashion photography Learn how to take beautiful, stylish and creative fashion photos. The fashion photography course covers various successful and popular lighting patterns used in fashion and glamour photography. Students will learn about styling, creative composition, how to pose and direct models for fashion shoots and how to write model contracts and model releases. There will be location and studio photo shoots.
